, a website to help raise money for New York restaurants and their employees while they’re closed. Below are recipes from these restaurants, each one made by a different illustrator or designer. Click the recipe to download, and make a donation directly to the restaurant’s staff fund. Cook a few and eat your way around New York from home, or send one to a friend and pretend you’re ordering dinner together at your favorite spot. Make one of them or all of them—just donate, download, cook something new, and support some places that make New York special. You can read more here or sign up here and we’ll let you know when new recipes are posted. Update: You can now preorder a printed book of all the recipes (even the ones that don’t exist yet).

Like all parts of Family Meal, the book is pro bono, with all proceeds going to the employee relief fund. The math generally works like this:
$35 THE PRICE
- $10-15 COST TO PRINT EACH BOOK
- $4 COST TO SHIP EACH BOOK
= $17-21 DONATION FOR EVERY BOOK SOLD
Depending on how many orders we get and the final page count, the cost to print each copy might decrease, and the donation amount will increase.
